Do you think you would be able to do a musketeer archetype in your Steampunk 101 book?

Good afternoon, or whatever time it happens to be for you! I am super excited to say that our little group now has over 100 members! I didn't think there would be much interest in this group when I first started it back in November. Thanks for proving me wrong.
          
          To celebrate, we're going to play a little game. Now, I'm sure you all want to bring others to the awesome light that is steampunk, so, we're going to try to bring more people in. Everyone, spread the word about this place, and tell any converts you get to join our wonderful community to PM this account and tell me that you brought them there. The person with the most converts gets a follow from this account and a dedication in one of my (@SicSemperT-Rex) steampunk books. This little game will run until midnight on May 1.

Happy Monday, my fellow steampunkers! So, a lot of things have changed about this profile in the past few days, namely the sorts of things offered on here. I wasn't confident about how well they would work back when we didn't have very many members, but now that we have a good number of members, I think that everything should work out just fine. I don't think I'll be adding any more services for awhile, but I will based on need and demand.
          
          So, here's a quick run-down of all the services on this profile:
          
          Café Cog: This is our community book club. Every week, members of the book club will read each-other's books and offer feedback. Applications are being accepted right now, and all are welcome, wether or not you're a writer or a reader. 
          
          The Oddity Exhibition: This is a list of all the books on our profile. This is the place to go in order for a quick glance at all the steampunk books that have been submitted to the profile. 
          
          Meet the Punks: This is an interview book for steampunk authors. Authors are chosen by member nominations, and are conducted weekly. Be sure to nominate your favorite steampunk authors here on wattpad so we can pick their brain for knowledge!
          
          The Boxing Ring: This is our competition book. The first contest is open, and it's open to ALL steampunks. Be sure to sign up to win super cool prizes!
          
          Airships and Cyborgs: This is our review book. All books in our library will eventually be reviewed here. 
          
          Steampunk 101: The favorite service on here, as of right now. In this book, we'll be covering the basics of writing steampunk once every week.
          
          So, have fun with all of our new things. I'll be available all day Sunday and every night on weekdays and Saturday if you have any questions/comments/concerns.

Alright, so that's kind of where I would start. The first thing I would decide is what sort of steampunk it's going to be. Is it going to be an alternate history? Will there be magic? Aliens? If you aren't sure about all that, and even if you are, just read your heart out. Read all the steampunks you can find, and try to find a good range of it, so don't just read alternate London things. This is going to be tough, too, but try to find some books on the Victorian Era. I wouldn't go and by an encyclopedia or anything, but maybe find books about specific events, like the Commune of Paris, or the insurance fraud incident with the building of the railroads in America, whatever piques your interest. You should be able to find some inspiration doing that: at least, that's how I do it.

Ideas do tend to be hard to come by. How much do you like history? I ask because that's how I started writing steampunk.
