Added a short to the collection. It's a T&R side story.

Book six is very slowly drawing to a close. I have two shorts set in the same universe in baking the oven.

Would you prefer my just starting up book seven or finishing off at least one of the short stories first?

We're talking another two months down the road anyway.

I've done some work on the collection volume. It concerns line editing of Arrivals and The Billion Dollar Empress.

Observe that the changes only occur in the collection volume. With this there's a branching between the shorter volumes and the big tome. From now on the collection volume will be of slightly higher quality, and with a better finish overall.

For you readers the main differences are grammar cleaning, but also that The Billion Dollar Empress suffer far less from poor handoff between scenes.

I'm still in the process of lineediting Wingman Blues, and that implementation lies a bit in the future.

I've had a few really good writing days. By now it's definitely clear that book four will be a lot darker than the preceeding three. 'Romcom' might be an inappropriate tag, but it's kind of there for the entire story, and sooner or later the depression is going to end.

This is the dealbreaker part of the story, or at least where I'll lose readers the most. From the slapstick beginning to the slower paced slice of life I'm now entering the darker arcs.

Normally we speak of a contract between writer and reader, and in order to keep a long story interesting the writer (me) needs to break that contract from time to time. This is where I break mine.
