@ShellBooks I'm a very spiritual person and quite intuitive at times so the short story I'm hoping to knock out of the park will be about a young girl who learns from a doctor that she can't dance anymore right before she planned to audition for Juilliard and also not long after Michael passed so she's still grieving over him. Her father transformed their basement into a mini dance studio with the proper floor and mirrors covering the walls. She's going to go down there and ask to be left alone, she'll end up falling asleep, something wakes her up, and when she looks up, Michael is walking towards her. It's going to be a tear jerking conversation, Michael giving her those words of wisdom and love that always flowed from his lips. She stands and he pulls her close to start slow dancing with her, and starts softly singing "Smile" to her. When he stops, she knows it's a dream so she kisses him out of love, admiration, respect, grief, so many emotions. Right after their lips part, her father calls down to her asking if she's alright which makes her head turn to look at the stairs. She says she's fine, he closes the door, but when she looks back, Michael is gone. She realizes...she wasn't dreaming...he had been there. She looks in the mirror and stares at her reflection before doing the one thing she promised Michael she would do but thought with such horrible news that she would never do again...she smiles. I've had straight A's through my Bachelor's degree andc so far through my Master's so I'm looking forward to writing this and hopefully making it as powerful as I envision it
