New chapter up; sorry it's been so long. Life, ya know . . .

Two new chapters up in the past few days; as usual, since this is first-draft stuff looking for feedback to strengthen and enhance the later drafts.

It's been a while (9 months! Jeez) and I apologize for the long lag between posts, but it's been family first.
          
          Two new chapters posted: a new one, 22, to continue the story, and "18.5", shimmed between 18 and 19 to give more support and context to chapter 22. Enjoy.

Guys, I'm back in the saddle again after a pretty intense family-life period. I apologize to anyone hanging on the story; updates and new chapters on the way.

@dinodono Life's happened; we have a baby who's had some medical issues this spring. He's recovered, and I'm getting back in the saddle again. I have a chapter canned and almost ready to go; should be up within the week and from then forward I'm looking to be consistent with the output again.
