I started to write for my own amusement while I was serving in the Royal Navy from 1990 to 1996. Others began to take an interest in the 'dits', poems and general daftness that I wrote, and it grew until I was adding items to the news and sport signals whilst at sea during HMS Brilliant's 1995-96 Gulf deployment. One of my shipmates suggested that I should develop one piece into a novel, and that became 'Shadow Seeker', a horror novel. I later wrote the light-hearted and often surreal space adventure 'Sark', and a children's short story entitled 'The Sand Witch'. I did nothing with them commercially until I published them all on the 19th February 2013 in PDF format and as e-reader books. I have started to write my third novel, and would like to write more stories for children. I have a website at www.stevepricebooks.co.uk.

I also have two blogs: Filbert Jibber's Writings & Ramblings (www.filbertjibber.blogspot.com) and Filbert Jibber's diary of unusual days (www.filbertjibbersdiary.blogspot.com). The former is for stories, poems and general oddities, and the latter is a diary of unusual things that Filbert has done, including learning that he is related to a cat, designing weapons for a pacifist army and testing a shark suit that actually turns the wearer into a shark.
