          Once all the short stories I'm currently working on ('Marco Polo' and 'The Weirdest Love Story You Will Every Read') are done I think I may be able to focus more on developing the full length ones

          Idk if I've said this before but PTSD can be caused by both major and minor trauma. Especially if you have anxiety, OCD, are a perfectionist or a people pleaser. 
          
          Also, anxiety and stress disorders often develop from childhood. Whether you realize it or not. Minors mental health get disregarded easily, especially with people who are constantly trying to act happy and nice. Sometimes it's better to ask more questions and be more persistent rather than accepting what you see.
