We are the cause of many painful lives in the world. The torture days of their lives that they want to escape from. Animals weren't meant to perform in circus's they were meant to be wild and free. See that bit of plastic wrapper on the ground it will float out into the ocean and some poor animal will eat it by accident not knowing any better. See that circus bear over there, It goes days without food unless it does the painful tricks it's told to do. 

Animal cruelty is when someone hurts an animal or does not care for an animal responsibly, like not giving a dog or cat food and water. It is against the law to be cruel to or harm animals, even your own pets. It's also called animal abuse, or neglect. 

Cruelty to animals, also called animal abuse or animal neglect, is both the unintentional and the intentional infliction by humans of suffering or harm upon any non-human animal, regardless of whether the act is against the law.
