I am passionate about islam, military strategy, history and storytelling. In particular, I dedicated quite a bit of my life studying Mamelukes. These were warriors fighting out of Egypt but actually imported from the northernmost territories of Asia. Originally pagan Turkic nomads they were  trained, emancipated and converted to Islam. These became the most intensely motivated warriors who fought for Islam against the Crusaders and the Mongol Horde. Their story is nothing short of incredible.

Drawing on my studies of history I've written some fiction which I hope will entertain and inform. I have also tried to integrate security strategy gleaned from experience as a security professional.

My primary audience are English-speaking Muslim youth. Of course all are welcome to read!
