So today that one coworker was taking cash and the change was 28¢… I watched her take a quarter (25¢) a nickel (5¢) and 3 pennies (1¢) and I’m just staring at her baffled. “No- put the nickel back! You don’t need the nickel!”
“What?”
“That’s 33¢! You only need 28! The quarter is worth 25! Put the nickel back!”
“Oh!”
SHE’S OLDER THAN ME AND DOESN’T KNOW BASIC MATH!
Coworker: how much do these cost?
Me: *scans item* 2.59 before tax.
Coworker: *tells customer* okay, she wants them.
Me: did she already pay for the smoothie?
Coworker: yeah
Me: okay then, we’ll just put it on a new check *scans item again to cash out*
Coworker: okay… now what do I do?
Me: cash her out
Coworker: but she already paid.
Me: for the pretzels?
Coworker: oh yeah!
One of the worst parts of working at a smoothie place is I can’t tell if the red stains on my hands came from me or a fruit…
I realized I missed the exact date but… 3/11/2022 marks the 6th anniversary of when I started Hope. It’s been under work for those 6 years but it’s been the world I’ve been living in since it began. I’m currently on my 4th draft and still in the process of some hard editing but I plan to hopefully have it completed before the 7th anniversary. I’ve loved building this world and developing these characters and I don’t know where I’d be without this series. For those who’ve been there since the beginning, you know how much this series means to me.
I don’t have an exact date for this but around this time exactly 10 years ago, I decided I was going to be a writer. Originally, I had wanted to be an author and illustrator but my love of writing greatly outgrew my fondness of art to develop a strong passion I couldn’t live without. I take great pride in my stories and I love writing with every fiber of my being. Thank you to all who read my stories. You’re what makes my passion worth all the time and effort.
Out of context quote I just said:

@strazydaze big sister doesn’t eat fish! Those two can do their own things! But dad did suggest doing dark chocolate and fish to which my sister replied “dark chocolate and fried fish is a mood though.”
Today I was actually very productive! I'm house-sitting so I had to take care of some dogs, I went to a couple of grocery stores, showered, went to therapy and work, got some writing done, cooked dinner, and I even managed to eat THREE meals today!
Nothing else for a week. I need to recover...
Today at work:
Me: *grabbing powders to refill* do you need these? Because if you do tough sh*t. *walks away with powders*
Ad: we sell a bag of lemons for the unbeatable price of 2.49!
Me: I'm going to open a stand and sell bags of lemons for 2.46 just to spite you
Life is a lot more fun when you're laughing at your own mistakes.
