What do you love most about To Be Devoured?
I’ll go first!
One thing I always try to avoid in werewolf stories is the usual clichés—like how everything moves way too fast.
The female lead accepts, forgives and forgets instantly because of the pull.
Or, she doesn’t fit society’s beauty standards, yet somehow, she magically does.
I want my characters to feel real, with actual flaws and body types that reflect real people. I want my readers—of all sizes—to see themselves in my story and know they, too, can be loved.
Because when I read books where the “fat” main character either had to lose weight to be desired or was only “fat” in the right places, it made me even more self-conscious about myself. There were no rolls, no real struggles—just an idealized version of what plus-size should look like.
And I want my new followers to also know I see you and read the most realistic struggles and thoughts of a fat girl, written by a fat girl.
