Most of my stories features wlw relationships since I'm tired of straight couple romances, does that mean I hate straight people? fuck no, I - a fricking bisexual will write characters to be such unless stated because I want more bi representation. In my reader inserts if your sexuality deviates from the character you are paired with doesn't mean your sexuality is less valid, you will be paired with X character regardless, just don't be a complete useless walnut about it and say "Oh I'm this so why is reader insert like this?" because I'm the one writing it? Because I can? Wattpad has a plethora of fanfics out there for those who want something else. But also each *reader character* will be structured just a bit to work with the story. I.e changing your age to fit to character X, giving you a hobby or career that would land you close to Character X, having similar interests, or having a personality or dialogue you may not say/have in real life to work with the characters. I know ranting about this issue may be petty but it's something I've been seeing throughout the years and I'm tired of it. Just politely take it as author is the author of the story. I love giving freedom for more reader imagination but also from my experience I tend to get overwhelmed when I have to much freedom, because having a little structure or background to the reader character helps keep the plot going and keeps me more invested in the drama and romance over here. IDK just my two cents worth. Opinions are welcome, what do you think? Should I give more room for the mind or keep a structure?
