@StoryZen they really screwed over their volunteers in the end. It’s sad because there was a chance they could’ve turned everything around last year, but they just didn’t. :-/ I really hope somebody else will take up the mantle

This is what it had to say

NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month, was a U.S.-based nonprofit that promoted creative writing, most famously through an annual event challenging participants to write a 50,000-word manuscript in November. However, the organization closed in early 2025 due to severe financial difficulties and significant reputational damage resulting from controversies regarding the handling of a serious accusation against a moderator and its stance on artificial intelligence.

A couple serious things:

At the beginning of the year, I had 802 followers. It is now March 2nd and I have lost 100 followers in just the first quarter of the year

It seems I may not get the opportunity to voluntarily help wattpad. Since 2020, I have been trying to rejoin the ambassadors. I never make it. People can change. I did. For the better.

I no longer write by myself. I have discovered I do better by cowriting.

I am on the verge of leaving wattpad. I have accounts on both Inkitt and Dreame. If I leave, I will still read here. But silently.
