1 month to Christmas! 

I’m so excited to start writing and uploading this book!

So I’ve been deep diving into mermaids and I love the idea of a sirens call. For my book I want New Zealand to be a siren and I had a thought. Would the Haka be his siren call and instead of luring victims in, his call is warn of enemies?
          
          I wanna do some more research into it because I don’t want my book to ve culturally appropriate 
          
          But if you guys can weigh in your thoughts and opinions that would be great appreciated!
          
          
          Haka, Known as a 'war challenge' or 'war cry' in Māori culture, the haka was traditionally performed by men before going to war. The aggressive facial expressions were meant to scare the opponents, while the cry itself was to lift their own morale and call on God for help to win.
