So today is my 28th Birthday. Despite all the bumps in the road, I’m happy to be in this Earth and I am thankful to be where I am today due to all the support from friends and family that stuck with me through thick and thin.

And so I say, thank you everyone for all your support! I’m thankful you all like my stories, and I’ll keep writing for as long as I’m able to... which is hopefully for a long time.

@mysticonhunder Thank you so much! I’m so happy I could leave that kind of impact on you in my stories (and no worries, better late than never :D)

@Strife667 hehe. And you're welcome :) Hopefully it comes by soon. I've been getting visits every other minute, if you get that lol. I'm not exactly angry about being the youngest in the room, I'm actually used to and fine with it XD

My characters, Part 2

Creed, however, is another story entirely. Originally, he was going to be a joke character, a goblin who would always find ways to steal gold through lying and stealing, but would be a very cowardly individual on the whole.

But then I began to see... possibilities. Goblins are pretty much commonplace throughout the series, so I began to think about other creatures that COULD be in the series, but not shown. Snake men definitely came to mind for this, so I decided to make Creed into a snake anthro.

The more I wrote him, the more potentially dangerous he became, I couldn’t have him as a joke character, nor would I. I somewhat took inspiration from DBZ’s Frieza, having Creed to be very elegant and somwhat polite, yet unspeakably cruel and bloated with self importance. His status is also inspired by Wilson Fisk from Marvel comics, legitimate business man by day, ruthless crimelord at night.

Then one factor remained, “what species of snake should he be?” Cobras are a bit overdone these days, so I went with a viper, as they have really long fangs which are still deadly venomous, which I wanted for Creed.

Not to mention, on a personal note, I’ve always wanted to see a snake with a top hat, hehe.

So that’s pretty match how my characters came to be. And so I ask, which of the two do you favor more? Feel free to let me know!

@mysticonhunder Thank you much, it means a lot you feel that way. I suppose it’s kind of like comparing apples to oranges in this case; one stands for justice and influences positive change, and the is malevolent and influences negative change. I miss the 2012 TMNT too, though on the bright it had a good run, and I’m glad it went out in a good note rather than live long enough to go bad. Ha, Spider-Man is in his own realm fighting his own brand of Creed-like villains.

Ah that is an interesting saying. Can’t say I blame you for keeping indoors from both the literal and mental vipers.

@Strife667 Both Zorlon and Creed are well developed characters and this is why I can't decide who is my fave. Zorlon is strict but also shows love to his students like Splinter( I miss so much the TMNT of 2012) and Creed is like someone who helps people but deep down he is a greedy crimelord (where is spiderman to help?). The irony is that in my country we say that someone is a two-face viper when he shows that he is your friend but he wants to harm you, just like Creed. Also this is why when I go to my village I prefer to stay indoors and play computer games with my cousins rather than go to the nearby forest, because vipers are hiding in every corner and we're full of vipers (both literally and figuratively).

So, just today @mysticonhunder asked a very intriguing question that I think we as writers should always think about: where did the ideas of the characters we create come from? Fact is, no matter how original we make them, the idea always comes from somewhere. That said, here’s how my Mysticons OC’s came to be. I’ll be splitting this into two parts since it exceeds maximum length.

          My characters, Part 1

I’ll start with Zorlon, since he’s my primary focus right now. I’m not sure why, but something about seeing my fave characters cry(Zarya Moonwolf in this case) just triggers inspiration in me; I’ll either think, “This person person needs someone to talk to” OR “A villain would love this person’s misery”. I suppose Zorlon falls under the former, as it wasn’t until “Scourge of the Seven Skies” when I started think of possibilities for a Mysticon OC. Originally, he was going to be a rather rough around the edges type character, looking very serious and cold, yet softening up the more time he spent with his students.

However, I began to see that made him too much like Nova Terron, and then I thought, “do they really need another Nova?” So I decided to go a different route with him. Inspiration became all the better after observing Master Splinter’s character from the 2012 version of TMNT, who was strict at times, but was family oriented and was dedicated to helping his students grow not only as warriors, but also as mature individuals.

That’s what I wanted for Zorlon, for him to be strict at times, but moreover to be understanding and at times fatherly toward his students. Later on, he somewhat becomes, “the cool dad”, to the group.

@mysticonhunder Each to their own I always say. Whole I can’t say I ever disliked Nova, I couldn’t really get in to his character that much, that was until “Prophecy Unleashed” when his character began growing.

@Strife667 For some reason through the series I liked Nova. Maybe he was very strict, cold and serious but it was fun to have him giving some advises and helping (the most of the time).

I'm so sorry for the interruption but I had a Mysticon fight with my best friend, who she doesn't know much about Mysticons, and I had this question, which I would be very pleased if you could answer it. Do you believe that Zarya's character started changing, since she discover she is Arkayna's twin sister, and started becoming like the type of princess she hates ?

Strife667

@mysticonhunder I’m glad you asked actually, I’m very compelled to write a full post on this on my wall, so definitely be on the look out for that.

@Strife667 Hey, so here is a question that is spinning in my mind lately. How did the ideas of your characters came to you? Because everyone, who is making a fantastic character, has taken the idea from somewhere. I won't lie to you, I have done the same.

That is a good question actually, I’ve never really thought about that. If there is one change in her character, it’s that her responsibilities and priorities have changed, like hosting the award ceremony in “Princess and the Pirate.” That’s where the change ends, however. All in all, I’d say she’s still the same Zarya we know, still rebellious and street smart.
