Project Sneekpeak
Status: [DISCONTINUED]
I watched the world from the safety of the shadows. The Sun's glow ended the darkness just five steps in front of me. I dared not step beyond that point, but I reached out to touch it. My long, sharp fingernails weren't effected by it. I watched the light as I leaned closer. The Sun's rays reached my skin softly, a beautiful thing that most people would think pleasurable, but I am not most people.
Yes, I am different. Everybody is different, but DIFFERENT has no limits. There is a wide variety of DIFFERENT. My DIFFERENT is incredibly different from original or normal. Special, is it? Am I special? I'll let you decide. I am in no position to make up YOUR mind.
I watched my hand as smoke lifted from it. I heard it begin to sizzle and the smell of burning flesh filled my nostrils. It was on fire—Sun Fire, as I called it. The only thing that made me jerk away from the light and the pain was a car. It zoomed pass me, bringing up dust in it's wake. I coughed.
'It's time to go, anyway.'
I turned and began my long journey back to the Shore.
Treading through the city under the cover of the shadows...
And I stopped there. I won't be continuing it 'cause I don't have ideas for it, but I just wanted to publish part of the first chapter for y'all. I hope you like it!
