Okay but serious post.
Anyone heard of EU Article 13? If you have; good. You know where this is going. If you haven't I'll explain it briefly.
Article 13 is a law all about Copyright. Copyright protects a Copyright holders name and brand. Say, when you upload an episode of say Hitorijime My Hero to YouTube with no tweaking it can be considered too much like the original content and can be removed.
If you ever followed the H3H3 Copyright case you'll know about Fair Use that protects the second creator so long as the new content with the other person's content in it is for parody purposes, commentary purposes, and is altered. So like the memes we all see, or gaming content like Miniladd or Jacksepticeye.
Fair Use allows creators to...well...create.
However in the EU they are looking to make the law stricter and this will effect EVERYONE. Yes, even America.
Even none monetized content is at risk.
Today we find out the vote results and I'm honestly scared.
My future in fanfiction and video creating is in danger.
My College career is in danger.
Go watch Phillip DeFranco's video if you don't understand from my "explanation"(it was crap anyway). Think of this like Bet Neutrality but it's not about money but tightening reigns on the internet as a whole. When I find out the results I will make a second post.
