How come every book I’m reading is still to be continued I started reading this one book and there’s like two chapters and so I started reading another and that has five?!

Does anyone have any good recommendations  to read? If so let me know and I'll see if I like them. You can also recommend a writer if you want, I wouldn't mind that too.
