To see my book in a reading list titled "melanin" makes me so proud. It makes me really glad to know that the main character being black is being recognized because there is so little positive representation of black people amongst all of the minority races and there needs to be more recognition.

I also find a lack of representation of black-people or people of African descent. I created my reading list "melanin" so people who, like me, also struggle to find books with Africans as one of the leading roles could have more access to books like so through my reading list. It's a work in progress but it's slowly growing. I appreciate that you recognize the lack of representation and working to do something about it. You have my full respect.
