This is how it goes: you sit in front of your keyboard, type one word after the other till the end, and BAM! Your story's done.
Easy, right?
All the writers say with me: NO!
Writing's not easy-no, this is not another Grammarly ad. Writing is not easy, that's a known fact. Not many acknowledge it until they're told to write an essay for school.
Not everything difficult is unenjoyable though.
Writing is a form of art, one where you don't portray your story in colors and shades, but in words and phrases. You step into that one scene in your head, and make the words slip through your fingers and bleed on the page.
Sometimes, you want to write, but you can't. Why? Well, maybe because you have no source for you to write on to. Maybe, you don't have much motivation, and it's just that silly thought you have at 3 am. Or maybe, you don't have something to write about.
The last one is me, I'm probably rambling stuff no one cares about.
Are you a writer? A writer who simply wants recognition? Or are you a judge, a judge who wants to read and give reviews like a critic? Or are you simply someone who is bored out of their mind and wants to read new stories?
If you are, step in. If you aren't-just step in! You won't regret it.
This is the 'Illusion' writing contest. A contest where I provide you with prompts, and you impress me with your skills. Interested in learning more? Just click the 'read' button.
