Minette Scarlett

Hi!!

I go by the pen name of Minette Scarlett(Moe-net Scar-let).   What drove me to pick this name was the fact I wanted it to mean something special to me.  I started to search up names and their meanings and found Minette.  I loved how it sounded so I took a look at the meaning and found that it meant faithful defender.  That is the kind of person I strive to become, so I thought it was perfect.

I got the first name done but what about the second?  Well, I decided that if my first name for the pen name described me, why not do the same with the surname.   I searched all kinds of names but none felt or sounded right, then I had an idea.  My heart controls me, I wear my heart on my sleeve.  I thought about the kind of person I am as of now, how I interact with people and such.  As I thought about it, I found that I am very passionate about the things I do, so I thought why not roll with that.  It got me thinking, what embodies passion?  The answer came to me, the colour red.  That is how I came up with my pen name.

I am currently working on what I hope to be a novel series.  The novel I am currently writing is something I hope that inspires others and immerses people into a world they grow to love.  I write for others to experience the wonder I currently go through every time I read an amazing story.  Thing is, I also write for myself.  My goal in writing is to make a story like no other.

I aspire to be an author full time but I'm working towards my dream by taking baby steps.  I intend to keep moving forward and never stop until my dream is reached, and even then I will keep moving forward and better my skills.  I welcome anyone and everyone to share constructive criticism on what I write and to just have a chat with me.  I look forward to transporting you all into a tale you won't soon forget.
