Hi! I love to tell a compelling story. My first book, A SLOW CLIMB UP THE MOUNTAIN, is loosely based on my time in a rural school district in Nevada. When I think back, I remember students and colleagues fondly. 

When I'm not writing or reading, I enjoy hiking in the hills behind my house with my trusty Terriers, Hailey and Addie. We've never run into a mountain lion like Jotty, but we've seen snakes, rabbits, horses, and a tarantula (they're ugly, but not harmful to humans or pets). 

Nevada is a wonderful place to call home with a beauty that is stark, yet breathtaking!
