If english is not your first language maybe you'll understand this struggle.
When you have the perfect scene in mind, but you have it in you first language, all the conversations and essence behind the words is in your original language, and then you have to translate it to english and it changes the entire essence of the scene. And now you are stuck researching how to get the same intention behind your words in English as you thought off in your head.
Why does the word "Døgn" not excist in a normal way in english, no matter how I tried it just came out seeming like a threat. "You should be careful for *the next 24 hours*" would be considered a threat would it not?
I found the actual direkt translation for the word, but I don't think I have ever seen it used before. "nychthemeron" anyone seen it before? No? Didn’t think so. I just rewrote the whole thing. I'm not crying, I promise, it only took me 20 minutes to find a word nobody uses.
I thought I knew english pretty good, all it took was writing a book to knock me down off my high horse or however the saying goes.
Oh well. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will this book it seems.
