Sometimes it's hard to actually get your thoughts together to actually write a story, poem, short story, or even just general nonsense. So that's when friends, good comfort food, and surfing the internet comes handy.
Here's my list of what can help get you out of your funk:
Read other stories. Other works are always helpful.
Go to book fairs.
Sit on a bench for hours watching people go by, making up their lives as they come.
Talk with your friends and hang out with them. Crazy situations worthy of being written are always available when your friends are about.
Go regularly to coffee shops. The greatest inspirations come from simple things.
Become friends with another writer.
Go on scenic hikes, or camping, whichever you prefer. New places and adventures are great ways to boost creativity.
Be yourself, and don't be afraid to write down your dreams.
Don't be afraid to follow your dreams. You may have to run a little to get to the desired spot, but it'll be worth it. Some people allow difficulties, such as writer's block, to get in way for success.
Well, send that thought to hell and find new inspirations.
Because who cares what life may want us to do, it's our life.
So let's live it.
Let's better ourselves.
Let's overcome our limits.
Let's set new goals, striving to achieve ever time more.
Let's live the life we have.
Because we only live once.
