Come on, my comments were not rude, they were only meant as constructive criticism. But I get it, it's not easy for you to have people read your hard work (your baby; a story you have nurtured from the start... and I am being very serious here) to find fualt with it. Rude would be name calling and just outright nasty comments without any attempt to help or improve the writing.; that is not my style.
You don't curse, fine, but the language sounds like junior high girls talking in the bathroom at school. I actually enjoyed the plot, but at times their responses were... (using my vocabulary)... silly. Sample ebooks by Marilynn Lee, Koko Brown, or Pepper Pace and see what I mean for tone of a story.
You want to ignore my suggestion, your prerogative... but why not heed a potential helpful comment. I write online too and have been at the tail-end of comments I thought were unnecessary.
One more annoying comment, your female character does not come across as African American. As a Black woman, I detest reading a story all the way to chapter 2 or 3 to discover the ethnicities of my main characters in an interracial romance. I choose to read interracial romances because I want to read about a potential me and my husband in the tale. Please be more descriptive in the first chapters of your future stories. Well I am sure I have only annoyed you even more this second time around with this lengthy response. Once again, it was never my intent to offend you.
I apologize for the tone of the original comment, but YOU did ask for comments. You should be prepared for the good and the bad
