About me...always these sites ask me to talk about me...and always, I know not what to say. I am a paradox who loves and feels compassion for the same thing that she loathes. Human kind, society, people...they plague me with a sadness beyond comprehension. While I shudder to think of the suffering so many deal with, I also fail to understand the lack of humanity that most possess. People lie, cheat, steal, and care not for one another, nor do they care for the world that they live in. Still...their suffering pains me. Their misguided ways, their greed and hate, even their violence toward one another creates an ache inside me because I only wish that they could understand what I understand. Nothing in this world really matters, nothing physical, and regardless of your religious beliefs, you will never be able to take your possessions to the afterlife. Why, then, can't this be understood, and people live accordingly? The mark you leave on this planet is with those that you touched deep inside, those who you loved, and cared for, and who loved and cared for you. If you are a selfish, uncaring soul, what mark can you expect to leave, other than that of a tyrant? Is that what the majority of us are content with? The mark of a tyrant forevermore etched upon the memory of us? So very few people are left in this world who grasp the concept of compassion, much less have it for one another. The acts that I have seen committed by humans is far less than civilized, or fit to be called "superior", as we humans tend to believe we are.
