I need to rant about El’s character in stranger things and how a lot of people in the show grossly under appreciate her and how the Duffers are pushing Will as the real main character in the show when it’s always been centered around El and her growth as becoming her own person. They took away her very close relationship with Max, who I’d say El is closest too besides Hopper and Mike. They bring Kali back, someone El views as her sister and a person El trusts, for the sole purpose of convincing her to sacrifice herself, no matter who right Kali is in the situation, I still think that they could’ve done it a better way. 
          
          And When she finally got to be Jane, she was horribly bullied until she finally fought back and people villainized her for it. People villainize her for literally just hanging out with her boyfriend. 
          
          I like Wills character but I hate that they basically made him just a boy version of El and gave all of the things that made her her own character to him, especially Max like don’t even get me started on Max. And they’re killing El off because they don’t know what else to do with her character. 
          
          El sacrificing herself to save her friends isn’t a bad ending for her but when you consider that fact that all she’s done is make sacrifices for the people she cares about and half of them don’t ever thank her for it, it makes me feel like it might just be a waste. ( sorry to everyone who took the time to read that )
