            Nothing  is  impossible  for  her  to  find,   doctor.    That  is  why  she  was  hired,   after  all.

Nothing she would find that would prove useful.   I would be a fool to let my more precious experiments lay out in the open for prying eyes.  No,  i’ll take those to my grave.

            I  have  my  old  family  home,    the  one  I  visit  occasionally.    I  suppose  I’d  leave  and  go  there,    spend  whatever  time  I  have  left.    What  will  you  do?

What about you—you’re not council but you see how this organization fails to stick together when it counts.  What will you do when things finally crack?

            In  this  world?   Rage  will  be  the  death  of  most,   it  always  has  been.    Those  who  hold  resentment  lose  it  all  eventually.    Look  at  the  council.    They’re  crumbling.   Slowly.

            I  come  here  because  it  is  mandatory.    The  council  want  you  to  check  everything  is  working,    and  I  follow  orders.    The  emotional  capacity  for  gossip  is  far  beyond  me.

Well of course they aren’t.  You are just meant to kill whoever you’re sent after.  That’s why you come here though,  whether you admit it or not.  Gossip.

            He  is. . .     Outspoken.    It  would  be  annoying,   I  suppose.   But  if  it  is  useful  to  you,   then  so  be  it.    The  inner  workings  of  the  council  are  not  my  concern.
