I always use my literary freedom. But sometimes it can get messy.
What I know in English I learned Tru Music, and this is not enough to make translations, or as I call adaptations. Portuguese is really worse to learn, we understand each other, but we are never really talking the grammatically correct way.
By the way, we're too far away. We write one way and we read another,
That's why I don't care about being perfect, 'cause nobody has an obligation to speak a language that is not their own, ideally.
I just wish the 20 international readers of this fanfic could visualize the vision I have as I write the original, in my beautiful and fucking complex Portuguese language.

We Brazilians read and understand Spanish perfectly, but the natives of Spanish simply do not understand us!
These are similar languages, but there are certain false cognates.
I think most people who read the English adaptation are actually Spanish speakers rs
They can perfectly understand the original, activating the automatic translation, but they just don't do that.
