Off the cuff, I'm currently a literal starving artist due to a rough case of dysphagia, a circumstance that will give you a whole other take on existence, should you be unfortunate to experience it. A 40-day fast will put you in your own wilderness. Oddly for me, food is not a temptation. Because it's no longer a choice.
There's a story for you, nonfiction.
I write. I write and write and write and write. I believe in the beauty and tease of language, and the pursuit, discovery, and telling of truth, no matter the genre or form.
I love good design and simple living.
The reality of a creator who is called "love" astounds me. Nature from the ground up inspires me. And the workings of our heart, mind, and spirit. Along with my eclecticism of music that wanders from Ron Carter to George Crumb to the Incredible String Band but hangs mostly with Radiohead.
My works are just as varied. I wrote a children's picture book that won a few awards and has been published in several countries and languages. Before that, a middle grade novel that's been used in public and private school language arts programs. I write snowball poetry and other random things, some of which I plan to eventually include here. These days, I write what comes to mind and seems most engaging and relevant to me (keeping an eye on a somewhat limiting market), with the hope it will be worth the read for others.
