@TMKnightDev Iconic phrases that Toren can use.

—You asuras think you are gods, but you don't realize the real thing, the small minds that you really are.

          	  —Sometimes I miss my computer.

          	  — Phrase directed at Agrona: you think you know everything, but you don't even know who your creator is.

          	  — Toren Conce a Fate: how it feels to know that your creator is a normal guy who is dedicated to making history.

          	  — No one can stop death. (Ascended Toren)

          	  — Strong men protect themselves, but the strongest take care of others.

          	  — Toren very angry: I will tear your soul from your miserable body.

          	  - Toren talking to Aurora: without you I don't know what would have happened to me when I came to this world, thanks to your guidance I have been able to rise in this world of life and death, my beloved mother.

@lopes12123 I can't spoil too much, but Toren eventually will get something similar in effect to a halo--but it's not as cool and amazing a thing as you think it will be. :( Also, thank you for the images! It shows me that you really care about the story I'm writing :)

What's up brother, here bothering me, I mean bringing some images and an idea for him Toren.

          Image designed.

Note from me: they are the same image, but with different Coloring, there Toren you have so many styles ha, ha, ha.

The idea: well, I'll tell you, this occurred to me when I was watching a movie with my nephew and I liked the weapon used by the villain, I found it fascinating a cannon that can shoot plasma and aether, well you might wonder how Toren can develop an aether prime energy plasma cannon Toren would have to learn the Djinn technique where he influences the aether to give it the shape of sabers and then over time Toren begins to experiment trying to give them different shapes like hammers, swords, spears, battle gloves completed etc.

lopes12123

@TMKnightDev ok, but what do you think of the images, I tried a lot
Reply

TMKnightDev

@lopes12123 Toren's probably not going to be developing aether cannons in the way you're expecting, but you should keep an eye on Sevren! If anyone can develop cool aetheric gadgets and take djinn techniques a bit sideways, it's our favorite inventor! He's gonna get a lot of screentime in DN Volume 6!

Note: the best I could find, but to be honest I tried to make one by AI, but it didn't work out, what I had in mind was similar, just add a Phoenix head and you have to change it to spikes or quills with feathers.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Df5NqmuuZ1Q&t=1s
          (watch at 1.04)

In this fight I couldn't help but feel sorry for Toren beating up a dragon and another thing, how brutal the hammer is, wouldn't it be exciting if in a moment of anger Toren used a war hammer to get out some frustration, to be honest sometimes it's better to hit than to cut off his head and maybe these videos will give you an idea for a fight with Toren and a dragon.

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e4_dms4xBGs
(watch full or 0.20 to 1.10)
In itself, this cannon can be used for long-distance attacks and as a shield to stop melee attacks and you must use it to hit an enemy.

Effects of receiving an attack from this cannon.

          — Plasma shots can cause soul damage. (normal)

—Burn causes a very painful effect (it's not the best name, but it works) even if the wound is closed or the flesh is healed without any wound or scar, the pain will remain, since the soul was burned causing it to suffer constant pain. (lethal)

—Consumption, unlike burn, acts more like an infection and a candle (this depends more on Toren if he really wants to kill his enemy, if he wants to use lethal ammunition or mortal ammunition) when he shoots it hits it begins to consume the victim's mana, but the mana is not the only one affected, since the life force is also attacked, it begins to be consumed slowly like a candle when it is lit, in this process the affected person manifests spots that have the shape of cracks (the cracks shine orange red with hints of purple) that begin to spread throughout the victim's body until it is completely consumed.

TMKnightDev

@lopes12123 Toren's powers are gonna get more fleshed out as time goes on. One thing I will say is that he's not necessarily going to have powers that are just about hurting others. The crux of his character is helping others, of course, so he's gonna develop aetheric insight relative to that.

Remember how Circe is able to channel his aetheric arts? Now imagine how that might just scale...

lopes12123

My note: I know it's very OP, but I'm just giving ideas, in the end it all depends on you, but the end.

By this point you should have realized that the hand cannon is a weapon designed to deal with (kill) the asuras or rather the desire or desperation to have more power.

Effects on the characters in the world of TBATE.

Myre Indrath: she could be shocked by the damage of the wounds of the surviving dragon and more with the corpse of another, dragons, since the wounds they showed were very unusual, in addition to what type of art or weapon.

kezess indrath: I think she would start to see Toren as a real threat and more for the fact that he is showing qualities of handling the aether that are not seen.

Mordain: well here I don't know if Mordain would be more indecisive, since Toren developed something that is capable of giving true death in itself, something that can destroy the soul.

Rinia: Rinia seeing the future seeing Toren how beautiful (in itself she saw Toren even more or seeing an Angel).

Last: you know me, imagine a scene, Don Arthur asks Mordain about Toren, asking him if he knows what world Toren comes from.
At the beginning Mordain would be silent thinking whether to tell him or not, but in the end Mordain would reveal that he does not know what world Toren comes from, but he speculates that Toren comes from a cardinal world or origin world.

That it is a world where other worlds are created, in itself the inhabitants of the cardinal worlds are beings capable of unconsciously creating worlds.

          In short, divine beings

Explaining that Toren is one, and that is why Toren is capable of growing very fast, since his soul comes from that world.

And that is why he is loved and hated by the world, because it is an unpredictable variant that can cause good or bad events.

lopes12123

@TMKnightDev Well, these are just ideas, in the end it depends on you, but I like the way things are, but yes, I would love to see Toren breaking a dragon's pride. :)

@lopes12123 Thank you for your comments man!

I think that Toren isn't inherently special by himself. He's got a kind heart and tries to be a good man, but what makes him especially stand out is the people that lift him up and he in turn lifts up. His power and effect on the world is because he loves others and others love him. Where would Toren be without Lady Dawn? What could he ever do if he didn't care for the people of East Fiachra? And where would he be if they didn't care for him, back? It's all those things that might just make the world a better place.

The irony of this is that he is in direct opposition to the World, or perhaps what we call Fate. Fate is apathetic and uncaring: and for someone like Toren who wants nothing more than for people to escape their suffering, that makes Fate his enemy, whether he's realized it or not. He's already started to claim the mantle of Morningstar. Maybe that will go further one day.

But have no fear! His upcoming powerset will be suitably powerful, and I don't think I'll disappoint you :)

I wanted to ask, I know that Discordant note is an AU but will the ending be similar to tbate’s canon ending (whenever Tbate’s novel ends)

@TMKnightDev ?… oh you mean… yeah that was definitely not what I meant, I was just wondering since it’s sometimes mentioned that she’s decades old so I was curious.

Hello brother, I am curious about how dangerous Toren is, since I know that Mordain wants Toren to be with them and not go out into the world, well, it does not surprise me, since Toren should not be here.
Let's be honest, among the three original reincarnated who are destined to come to this world, they are already considered anomalies, beings capable of changing the world, the Seris mass said so, so what is Toren? (In my opinion Toren is a calamity that can turn the tables or alter the result for good or evil).

But he did consider Toren much more dangerous than the three original reincarnated.

I wonder what Mordain has seen so as not to teach Toren about the soul.

And by the way, happy new year ha, ha, ha.

Here I leave you an image that I liked

@lopes12123 Sorry for the lack of response, I missed the old notification! Happy new years, and thank you for the image! :)

And the biggest reason Mordain refuses to teach Toren is because Toren IS Asclepius, and thus functionally an asura. Toren is a direct counterpoint to Mordain's teachings on neutrality. And Toren absolutely IS a calamity. Remember Soleil's words. When asura battle, lessers die. Toren could take the entire Asclepius Clan to war and see countless killed.

How are you, dear author, I'm back to bother you, ha, ha, ha (evil laugh).

I want to ask you about Toren, well, more accurately, about his soul. I'm curious, since his growth in power is abnormal, even for reincarnated people, he adapted quickly to the world, but well, he had previous knowledge and help from an asura to help him, etc.

But the end, what I could understand, is that Toren's soul world will be the path that Toren will take to become stronger, it's like creating a world inside his soul, shaping it according to his emotions or will.

In itself, it has a lot of potential and I wouldn't be surprised if Toren became a god (ha, ha, ha, Fate wouldn't like that, don't you believe that).

Image how I imagine Toren's soul world later on.

I have a question later on, in this story will there be a moment when Toren will be so angry that he will eliminate the soul of the enemy he is facing and if Aurora will stop him from crossing that line.

By the way, good ones, chapter up, I didn't expect the last part of this chapter that you recently uploaded.

TMKnightDev

@lopes12123 Thanks for the comment! And yeah, Toren's influence over the soul will be substantial. Toren's path should be one to rival canon Arthur's Fatebound path, and it will be... interesting. It will take him some time to really figure it out, though!

And there will be several points where Toren will see a soul and... Want to burn it away.

lopes12123

Example of how Toren can extract Souls.

In the world of TBATE every living being has some aether torren could use this aether as an anchor to hold the soul to extract the soul of a living being.

          Example
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbL-7SKeB6E

Minute 1:55 appears Toren facing asuras or specters or anything that hinders his path.

Minute 2:40 to 2:52 (moment of the harvest hahaha :) ) Toren extracts the Souls of the specters or asuras (dragons) sent to kill Toren.

          What do you think?
It will be good to read a scene where Toren extracts the souls and then see the leaders of each side, see kezess and Agrona see the powers that Toren has acquired through a recording.

lopes12123

@TMKnightDev Well, they are suggestions and I understand what you mean.

And by the way I liked the part where the "brother" and the "uncle" appeared

And the asuras who are thinking of taking interest in Toren especially the dragons.

And well about the souls, I'm not saying that Toren uses this attitude, just like that, but that it is the last resort if he decides to destroy or take the soul of a person.

And so far I don't think Toren would do something like take a soul, since it would go against his principles, he does such a thing, but what would happen if Toren had to make that decision to save someone important (Seris) from a dangerous enemy (Cecilia, Agrona, other Scythes or a sovereign, asura).

Well, that would be all thanks for answering
See you tomorrow in the next chapter.

TMKnightDev

@lopes12123 Well, I'll have to be honest with you: in character, Toren (while one day, he might have the power to do as you suggest) would he ever do that and remain a good person afterward? Toren's entire character revolves around empathy and valuing other people. If he ripped out someone's soul... what would that mean for him? What would that mean for his character?

On another note, if you want a guess at the abilities Toren will eventually have with the soul, you gotta look back at all the aspects of his character. Toren is Spellsong. He is someone who wants to lift others up, be that through music or healing. I've given another hint to you somewhere very recently about where his powers will go, but I can't say much more :)

lopes12123

I have some questions and doubts.

1- In the future, will Toren harm Agrona physically or mentally?
—Well, in my opinion, Toren cuts off one or both of Agrona's arms (with a Soul attack) losing them definitively with the consequence of not being able to control his mana correctly, but enough for him to continue living, this would be done by Toren as revenge for having had Lady Dawn pick on him and stealing his freedom from her.

Possible phrase that Toren can say when he faces Agrona, he gets what he deserves, Phrase: Toren = death is something merciful for you Agrona, just like what you did with my mother, I will take away what you value most (mana or better yet, her control over it).

The end Toren cuts off Agrona's arms, leaving Agrona without arms and making it difficult for Agrona to use mana.

2- At some point in this story, will the inhabitants of Alacrya consider Toren a god or a divine figure?

3-I'm curious about how FATE sees Toren, why up to this point I consider FATE to be a pest, or a nuisance, but like any cosmic entity, FATE could take advantage of Toren by making him their representative or a herald?

My opinion: man, I swear I laughed a lot imagining a Fate upset because Toren is ruining what he had prepared for the world to advance, since the spear was almost destroyed when he faced the fire.

4-man, I'm in doubt if Cecilia will really be brought to this world, since the world (Fate) can be very stubborn.

@lopes12123
            1. I can't answer that question :)
            2. YES. Very unfortunately for Toren. This is a major plot point of Vol 6/7.
            3. :)
            4. Also can't answer this. Fate is more of a force than a true concsiousness. It is almost akin to the embodiment of the universe's laws, in a way, so it doesn't "want" anything in the same way a rock falling from a great height doesn't "want" to smash the humans hiking far below.
Reply

lopes12123

5- Will Toren be able to heal (repair) and awaken people's mana cores? Because if so it would be a good incentive for the people of Alacrya to rebel.

6- Will you make a story based on this when you finish it?, like what if?
Why would it be interesting to see a Toren more willing to commit darker acts?

For example, what would have happened if Lady Dawn had disappeared or spiritually died after saving Toren when his body was dying, how would Toren take her death? Since she is the only being who has been there to guide him, comfort him in his time of need.

7- Well, I have doubts if Fate will make a proposal to Toren as if giving him a position or a rank, as if assigning him the duty of guiding and caring for souls, and preventing more souls from another world from re-entering, in itself she would give Toren a position as guardian of souls (in short, death).

8-Toren will meet another djinn, if so, he meets the djinn who taught Arthur how to mold the aether to take the form of a sword. (Well, I think it would be nice if Toren learned this technique, he could adapt it to use in battles).

9-Will Toren have new runes and new emblems?

TMKnightDev

@lopes12123
            5. :) If he knows the person well enough? Yes. He already did so with Arthur, after all.
            6. I have a few what-ifs and sidestories in mind for after I finish DN: but make no mistake, Toren will be doing some... arguably evil things eventually.
            7. Fate will play a role, but not as you might think.
            8. That was a djinn projection that Arthur met, not a bonafide living being. Toren and Sevren are the last people to witness a djinn alive.

Also, Toren does kind of make his own aether constructs, just in a roundabout way with his shrouded sabers.
            9. No. His powerset is too diverse already to introduce new variables
