Hi there. I owe you a huge apology. I had not even realised that you asked a question on my story, Johnny Bourbon, until my youngest son pointed your question out.
To answer your question... Yes! U am Australian. Born and bred in the country until I was fourteen. Since then I have lived in Sydney.
Johnny is based on my male cousins, who were all fantastic at being good old country boys.
I've put Johnny and the rest of my stories on hold for a bit as I also home school my two youngest which has been full on and slightly stressful.
I can only tell my truth as I saw it growing up in the country and the outrageously dangerous things the boys would to for fun...like the exploding can of baked beans in the camp fire...and diving from trees into a flooded river...etc.
Johnny will be back sometime soon...I hope.
