@aainikdas01 50 poems in a year is a really good start! Actually I used to hate poems because in lower classes they used to scold and beat us for not memorising it.
I agree Poetry is pure madness, the fact that there are so many forms, so many words and combinations JUST MIND BOGGLING. People created these and some mastered those. There were poets like Edgar Allan Poe who wrote long narrative poems with such brilliance and then we have Robert Frost who mastered in the brevity of poems. These are few people who mastered the art of refrain to tell a tale using poetry, just fascinates me every time. And even all those years later there is so much potential left that is being explored by contemporary poets. This is all because the poems (and literature in general) is the reflection of the society and the human mind.
I used to primarily write free verse but then I wrote Haiku, Narrative poem, Tanka and even songs !(romance,heavy metal and death core).
