Like so many superheroes, I am your quiet, unassuming EMT by day, ER tech by night and a writer whenever I get the chance. 

Westerns inspired me as a child. The Western remains my go-to genre in all aspects. I've spent a lifetime studying the history and fiction of the American West and living life as much like a fiddle-footed drifter as modern day will allow. 

My career as a seasonal park ranger left the door open to experience myriad professions in the off-season. Needless to say, I have worked with and come to know many different characters and places across the US and a few from beyond. This bled over into my writing, and I am a strong advocate of developing strong observational and conversational skills to become a good writer.

I currently have two published novels which are undergoing some revisions at this point and will be re-published at a later date. In the meantime, I'm sharing some things here. Please, check out my current work and my blog at TommieWendall.com.
