Why does every girl in every story written on this app have to have some debilitating past that’s more horrible than any human being should ever go through? Like for God’s sake just wrote about a normal girl with a normal life. No past where her “parents died in some brutal car crash when she was 8” or “she was abused by her drunken father her whole life” or “she was raped in an alleyway”. Like seriously, it’s a little fucking annoying.

Like, some of my characters have slightly dramatic backstory, but many of them just have pretty normal lives.

To my 95 subscriber base, every author on this site say they are “feminists” and all for “women empowerment”z I’m not saying I’m not a feminist. I think women can do many of the same jobs men can, and I believe all of that, but why dorms every author seem to make the lead girl out to be this weak girl whose incapable of doing anything without the lead man. They always have her be abuse in every single way humanly possible. It’s fucking annoying when I can’t find a story about a normal girl who isn’t weak, abused, raped, and anything else.

Don't people seem to romanticize abuse on Wattpad? Every story I read with abuse, the authors seem to lace to hate on the girl. All abuse stories I've seen the girl's are always physically and/or sexually abused. She's always raped by her stepbrother or father. No stories have guys who are abused and when they are, they're never as bad as the girls. I find it weird

Whenever I read a book about a boy and a girl, it always seems that the girls changes the boy because he's "imperfect" yet no where in the story does the girl change one bit because "she has no faults to change and the boy has everything to change". Idk I find it a little irritating that's it's always the girl who's changing the guy

Wow... that’s actually an interesting thought. Huh.

Omg hey remember me? We were talking on that one book about if we have ever read a book that isn't about the typical boy hurts girl? Well guess what?? I found one!!! Its called 'teaching at an all boys school' and its by @xpineapplex or something like that. It's absolutely amazing and you should def check it out!

lovetoread_12

It was honestly amazing but it was kinda them both hurting eachother I guess. When i messaged you it was the girl hurting the guy but then she got hurt too so it was kinda both i guess. Still absolutely amazing, I highly recommend it. And no i haven't had a chance yet but I will go add it to my library and start reading right now!

Really? I've seen it around and it seemed like a stereotypical book, but I'll have to check it out. Did you read Listening to Lucas yet? It's an absolute masterpiece

I've got a good friend who started to upload a book to Wattpad. He's new and it would be awesome if you could check out his book called Absolution. His username is FTLOVER28, please give advice what he should do, he really wants to get better. Thank you

I've seen some stories while in this site, and probably one of the most typical, was the "Bad Boy" and the "Loner Nerdy Girl". And at some point, the bad boy for some reason breaks her heart because everything wrong that happens is his fault. I'd like to see a story where the roles are switched with some thing the same: a popular, self-centered girl who sleeps with many guys and a loner guy who gets bullied, but doesn't crack under the pressure, a story about how they change with themselves and about their relationship together.

Thanks for the recommendation man, I'll have to check it out
