I wanted to talk about something honestly. Recently, I saw some comments (on my AO3 profile) saying that my stories are completely AI written and that I don’t even have the dignity to mention it. I won’t lie — that really hurt, especially because it’s not true.
Yes, I do use AI, but not to write my stories. The ideas, plot, characters, and emotions all come from me. I only use AI to generate things like cover images and to refine and polish my chapters after I write them — mainly to fix grammar and improve readability.
I’m not a professional writer, and I’ve always been insecure about my writing. I just want my readers to have a smooth and enjoyable experience without being distracted by mistakes.
And I want to say this clearly — using AI to enhance writing is not wrong. In fact, it often takes more effort. I write everything first, then refine it, then go through it again to make sure it still feels like my own voice. So calling it “completely AI” without knowing the effort behind it feels really unfair.
Those comments affected me more than I expected, and I even deleted both of my accounts because of it.
But then someone reached out to me on Instagram — her name is Lucia. I don’t know her Wattpad account, so I’m mentioning her name here. She supported me and told me not to give up, and because of her, I came back.
