I HAVE A QUESTION, GUYS!! PLEASE READ THIS AND GIVE ME YOUR OPINIONS!
So this has been on my mind for a long time, and I’m genuinely confused.
Let’s assume there are three people➡️ A, B, and C.
❝A and B are lovers. They love each other. (At least, that’s what the story shows.)
Then C enters, A’s friend. C is also in love with B, but neither A nor B is aware of it.
C is a genuinely good person too. He meets B, slowly falls in love with him, and they become good friends.
So far, everything is fine.
Now, when good people are in love, they naturally treat the person they love with care, respect, and warmth. C does that with B.
One day, B and C are alone. Let’s say A has gone out for work or something.
B cooks something for C because he’s both a guest and a friend. C likes the food, praises B’s cooking, and B gets all happy and shy.
(But here’s the part I don’t understand, so please help me.)
C kisses the back of B’s hand while looking at him with soft, love-filled eyes.
And B feels butterflies in his stomach and blushes.❞
That’s it.
I read a scene similar to this somewhere, and it made me wonder..
❝Should someone actually feel butterflies and blush if their “friend” does something like this, especially when they’re already in love with someone else?❞
I mean, I could understand it if C and B were meant to be the future/main couple.
But that’s not the case here.
So I’m confused. Was B’s reaction realistic or appropriate when B is supposedly in love with A, and A clearly loves B deeply too??
Have you read scenes like this in books before?
I’ve never faced a situation like this, so I can’t say for sure. But I still think the reaction should have been different. It could have been awkward, a little uncomfortable, or strange... but butterflies and blushing? Umm, I don’t know. That doesn’t feel right to me. So tell me what you think.
