UAE unfortunately isn't free of exploitive agencies and companies and the job pay depends on your work(?). My information might be wrong as I'm not exposed to such affairs and about Abayas, they vary in price based upon the design of the abaya.

That's interesting, life in UAE is actually really peaceful and quiet until the time you're visa and official documents expire at a particular time of the year. (mine is in October so it's coming...)
But overall, it's diverse with a wide range of expatriates making up its population. It's more usual to see other nationalities making up more than half the population of a city. Yet, it's a safe country. I like it here :D
