I was born in North Vancouver, B.C. Being Native I was part of the "60's Scoop" and was taken from my mother and put in an orphanage where I was eventually adopted. I grew up in Kamloops B.C. and eventually drifted out to Toronto where I became a Paramedic, joined the Fire Department, got married, had three children , got a Doctorate in Natural Medicine, and eventually wrote a series of beloved and award winning books.
