Also, fun note, the archery lesson in this chapter (ITN Ch 44) might be the one of the few sections that still contains fragments of the first complete draft. It's not in the same place in the book, and I remember doing research around ~2016 to make it more accurate when I was writing the second draft. But I believe the framework and maybe even some bits of actual sentences come from the first complete draft :)
          	(I was going to say it was the only section, but then I remembered that the sandstorm in Part 1 also comes even more directly from the first complete draft.)

Not as long this time - 15 days? This chapter didn't need nearly as much rewriting, and I think that's the case for most of the rest of the book. Ahhhhh it's getting close to all the dramatic exciting stuff and I'm so excited to share it with you all! Anyway. I think it could have been even faster if I had time to work on this properly, but a lot of days I could just do 10 minutes, or even less. But at least I was working on it. Unfortunately, the next 3 weeks are also going to be like that, so it might be another ~2 weeks for the next chapter :(

Long gap between chapters, I know. (I posted Ch 42 on Apr 27, so it was 3 and a half weeks.) But looking at my planner, I worked on ITN almost every day between then and now. So will it always take me that long to line edit and post another chapter? I'm not sure. I rewrote a large chunk of this chapter, so besides making and typing up line edits, I also had to spend time writing and then typing up my writing. (Yes, I do everything by hand first..) The next chapter may not need so much writing, and as we approach the end (we are getting there!) the action will get tighter and tighter, so it might not take quite as long. Just know that I am working on this as much as I can and getting the chapters up as quickly as I can!

Sorry it's been so long! I got distracted by a side story about Mongke and Ubet, which grabbed me and wouldn't let me do anything other than write for a while. Some snips of that will be posted soon :) And, I've finally started line editing the next chapter of ITN. Actually, I just finished marking up the chapter on paper- now I just have to type up the edits. Which will probably take a few days, but I have to do this to get my writing reward next week, so-- there should be another chapter soon!

Going a little slow since I have to line edit chapters before I post them, and Ch 39 was veeeery long (and I missed a lot of days). The next one may be quicker if it's shorter!
          In other news, I started adding content warnings at the top of the chapter, just in case someone stumbles on a chapter with something bad in it - like this one :/

Little delay posting the next chapter of ITN. I realized that for the past 5 or so chapters, I hadn't been incorporating references to the "dream" (not a vision, Sareb insisted) in Chapter 0, so I had to go back and add some of those. Now I'm up to the upcoming chapter (Ch 39), so it should be posted soon - once I finish line editing!
