Word junkie, feline/human ambassador, and anachronistic orphan.
"I am a creature of my pen. My pen is the best part of me."
I have a million irons in the fire: novels, poems, short stories, stream of consciousness essays, vignettes... Thank you in advance for reading my work and offering feedback or encouragement. I look forward to doing the same for you.
A little more about me: I love my cat. His name is Pooka. I'm recently growing more fond of cooking, baking, and making my own jam. I enjoy tea over coffee (though I drink both). Cliché though it may be, I'm in love with autumn and cemeteries and telling ghost stories and watching scary movies. I'm largely introverted and a near-total homebody. I am a practicing pagan, and I observe all of the major and minor Sabbats as well as the lunar cycle. When I'm not writing, I'm trying to get my babysitting/petsitting/errand running business off the ground. I need a new car and I'll be participating in NaNoWriMo this year (let me know if you do too so we can connect).
My favorite genres to read/write are horror, erotic horror, dark and emotional with a heavy dose of abnormal psychology, feminist, supernatural, pagan, and urban legends/folklore. My favorite writers are Shirley Jackson, Dorothy Parker, Poe, Bradbury, Alice Hoffman, Susan Hubbard (check out the Ethical Vampire series if you haven't- it puts Twilight to utter shame), and I recently discovered Jess Kidd, who is a lusciously detailed writer.

I only have one whole follower (thank you, LS_Tombman!), but still I’ll let people know: I’ll be going on hiatus from this story for the month of November to focus on NaNoWriMo. See you in December...View all Conversations
