@WeekendReader Who is SSRayne? About the author of SnR—I do have a hunch. If I’m right, her other books are quite spicy, going by the reviews. Most of them are MFM or MM, which aren’t really my jam. I think it might be Sierra Sloane. If that’s up your alley, you could look her up. You once mentioned you’re good at identifying writers by matching writing styles, so maybe you can see if my guess is correct. I’m sharing this here because it would obviously be inappropriate and invasive to speculate publicly(on my main account) when she’s trying to maintain her privacy.

@Tan_trumps SS Rayne Those genres aren't my vibe, usually. But, I wonder why she would say she didn't want to write under her real/primary pen name for "personal reasons" --- or why she would then say that S&R -- after getting taken down for explicit scenes -- had only fortified those "personal reasons"? I assume her other work is not spicy based upon these "personal reasons." Now - to completely counter myself -- she also described herself as writing lengthy sex scenes before she even got to a sex scene in S&R and/or R&R -- and I remember thinking how she could describe herself that way if she hadn't written a lot of spice in her other books -- and hadn't gotten to the spice in THESE books. (But, of course, SHE never said she didn't write spice -- this was all my supposition.) So - I'll take a look and see if I can match up the writing. I am pretty good at matching writers/writing -- so I'll check into it. I still can't figure out what the "personal reason" would be if she already writes spice ...UNLESS...the books are too similar to another author's and she wanted it under a different name???
