It's time for a STATEMENT.
AI has been a big problem in all areas of creative work lately, and the problem is only getting worse with each passing day. It started with art and is now seeping into writing itself. We've been blindly advocating that not everyone is an artist and not everyone has money to pay an artist, and right now the consequences of our acts of ignorance are showing.
How do we defend it this time? Not everyone has the talent to write? Then do not write. Simple. As my father always told me when I was a kid, "if you don't know something, don't do it."
Using AI is cheating those who support you and yourself. Even more so when the AI is trained on the work of other artists. You could call it theft.
As someone who writes, puts a lot of energy, time, and effort into it, and as someone who even likes to draw, this touches me personally. It even offends me.
If I'm not good at math, I won't be the next Einstein, if I'm not good at medicine, I won't be a doctor. So why do people who can't write, don't have ideas or words to express, feel the need to invade the space of artistic communities, steal their muses, and call themselves artists when their laziness doesn't even allow them to pick up a pen?
Every honest artist, writer, or painter should stand up for this and call for a ban on AI in art. It's about protecting our rights and the future that doesn't awaits us otherwise.
And if someone feel offended by my statement, think about why?
