          this is the original author of diMERgent.
          i wrote this story the summer before my sixth grade year, and i’m writing this update the summer before my sophomore year.
          
          life happens fast y’all. hang on to your childhood where the most frustrating thing in your life is why that stupid mermaid book isn’t finished.
