Hey, guys! Just an update!
School's crazy right now - Im in a fairly intense post-graduate program - so as you can imagine writing has taken a backseat, but not stopped!
Diagnostic, the third installment in the Plagues series is still chugging along - Im about 5-6 chapters in. If youve enjoyed the series so far, you'll likely really enjoy this one! We catch back up with Al, Kali and Darwin about thirteen years after the rebellions in Toronto, and right on the heels of the end of Emergency. And they're getting to the bottom of just where this infection came from.
Also in the works, inspired by Logan, and in the spirit of the Marvel cinematic universe's tenth anniversary and the impending doom that is Infinity War, is a Marvel fic right now called Last Avenger. It's a story focused on Steve Rogers and Thor in a world where the Avengers defeated Thanos, but at the cost of life as we knew it, and most of their friends. Steve's coming to grips with his own mortality, and Thor with his growing irrelevance. It's (I hope) a dark and gritty exploration into two characters I love.
Because Diagnostic is a bit more of a complex project and requires more resources (i.e. i have a lot of notes i need to have access to), and most of my free time to write is when I'm commuting, Diagnostic is more on the backburner and will be released much later. Probably mid 2019. But Last Avenger, being a shorter tale and all the notes are neatly in one book, is not too far away, maybe released as soon as the end of this year!
In the meantime, if you've read Plagues and Emergency and youre like DUDEMORE, I invite you to go and check out my short story work Mark. It's a sci-fi, existential tale about a teenager on his first day back at school trying to recollect years of his life lost from his memory. If you like Black Mirror, you might enjoy Mark!
So there ya go! Things to look forward to! Thanks so much for continuing to read and support my works! Cheers, everyone!
