#BlackLivesMatter
As a black female in america, the time for silence to be broken couldn't be more appropriate than now. To fear for my life constantly because of the color of my skin is not what this country should be about. To wake up not knowing if that day would be my last because some white men in police uniforms protected by privilege & meant to "serve and protect" would rather shoot their guns than listen to someone's pleas, is not what this country should be about.
This country should be about people from every other country, province, continent, or state coming together and living in peace and harmony not having to worry about being murdered in cold blood because of their culture, sexuality, or race.
Our peace speaks volumes.
We will peacefully protest until our voices are heard, recognized, and acknowledged in order to inspire change. We will peacefully protest until our voices go hoarse, until our throats are dry, and until we get our deserved rights.
For our right to be humanely arrested - RIP George Floyd.
For our right to go jogging - RIP Amaud Arbery
For our right to lawfully carry a weapon - RIP
Philando Castile
And many, many more.
If anyone could do it, it would be us. #BLM
I also highly encourage that anyone who sees this looks into how they can help during these protests even if you can't participate yourself. I'll be putting a link under this message shortly just in case.
