I have a question.
A BSD related question.
So there’s a running theory that Dazai is in fact the book that changes reality. Not a product of it but the actual book. But as cool as it is, in the Beast universe, when Dazai Dies from jumping Chuuya’s the one destroying everything.
So why is that?
They’re THE most dangerous Duo in all of Bungo Stray Dogs, and we have very little clue why they work so well together and why Chuuya breaks down when Dazai dies.
But there’s something we know even less of. If Dazai is the book, a constant among universes, then where’s the pen that writes the stories.
It couldn’t be left just anywhere, right?
So. Who’s another constant that would be damaged if Dazai or the Book was gone? Well, Chuuya.
And I want my BSD fans to really think about this because in hindsight it makes a lot of sense if this is true.
Their relationship is a constant in both universes.
They’re still the most powerful duo. Chuuya still hates Dazai’s guts.
Dazai still treats Chuuya as a dog at times.
The only difference is Odasaku being alive when it comes to them specifically. Especially since Dazai is the boss in Beast, which was a result of Oda being alive.
So. If Dazai’s the Book then Chuuya’s the pen. And when a pen keeps writing it destroys pages upon pages of well developed stories.
Hence the destruction of Yokohama.
That city is the Story Dazai was being used to write, and with him gone, the Pen or Chuuya can only destroy the pages until it runs out of ink
And that’s the end of my philosophical reason that Soukoku is destined for each other!
