I was born in 1955. I was raised on a small family farm in the thumb of Michigan, and firmly believe that such an upbringing has given me a unique perspective on life. Sometimes small things ARE important. Life is important. Family is important. Because I had hardworking parents who believed in the value of a good education, I was able to go to college at Michigan State University, and graduated from there in 1977 with a degree in English.
I play around a bit on the guitar, and have written a number of songs. My songs tend to tell stories, and I have always explained my songwriting endeavors by saying that I was a frustrated novelist. Well, now that I have retired from working for the Michigan Department of Mental Health (yeah, that's it's OLD name ,,, the dept. of mental health no longer exists), I figure that this might be a good time to resolve some of that frustration. "Moondance" is my first serious effort at fiction since my college days. I hope you enjoy it.

This is just a silly little poem, a parody of the old Christmas classic. I hope it makes you chuckle. https://www.wattpad.com/story/91773951
