Okay. I understand that parents are not always the best at understanding what we need and want. But it's not like our behaviour towards them is completely right. I realise that there are some parents that don't really have much humanity, but that is a minority. This does not include the millions of parents that would do anything and everything for their child.
My Parents for once are pure gold to me. No they are not perfect, and yes they are over-protective, over-obsessive and sometimes they don't give me complete privacy. That is all true, but have we stopped and thought that it maybe because they are afraid of our future? That they want to involved in every aspect of our life? That they want us to be the best version of ourselves?
Yes, maybe their version of our best maybe different from ours but they are still trying. How long would it take me to convince you all to leave Wattpad or Instagram or whatever you use or how long would it take me to convince you guys to start growing your hair long if you don't like it or cut it all off if you love it? Days? Weeks? Months? Years? Or maybe forever or just never? It's the same with our parents! It's hard for them to accept that your version is different.
Give them that time!!!!
And maybe they won't understand that forever.....but they still did a good job if you already have your opinions, decisions and voices. Understand them!!
They are humans, they have flaws and try to see them as ones. Be grateful for the eternity that they spend for you guys!!!!!!
