(pt 1.) Okay, hi. I know that there's a lot of people that won't see this, but to the few people that do, please listen to what I have to say... You don't have to agree with it, but at the very least, consider it. SO, as we all know, Twitter is a big part of a lot of people's social media interaction... And with that being said, there's a lot of good and bad people in all of the different communities that are around Twitter. And to the good people, the ones that support other's (KINDLY AND RESPECTFULLY) and stay out of all of the hate and controversy, good for you. I am proud of you for using social media the way it's been intended to use. But on the other hand, the bad people and some of the stan community.... Now disclaimer, when i say "Stan community", I do not mean all of the stans as a whole... I mean the ones that don't know how to keep their opinions to themselves about things that do not concern them. (I'll touch more on this in a little) But anyways, the bad people. People that will openly hate on others. Whether they hate on content creators, or specific people because of the content creator they support(Or just hating on people because they feel like it). It's unnecessary... If you don't agree with someone's likes or opinions, that's on you. That doesn't mean that you have to go out of your way to hate on people or try to push your opinions on someone else. Let people like what they like without getting hate. When you do that, it pushes people to be embarrassed about the things that they like... and that should never be the case. People deserve to be able to talk freely about the things that they like(That is if it is an appropriate thing to speak on.)
(pt 3.) Another disclaimer… This is in now way me saying that content creators should not own up to their mistakes. But at the end of the day, THEY ARE HUMAN. And they may just not be educated on certain things that they say. SO, kindly educate them and help them fix the situation instead of raining down hell on them and all of their supporters. But ya, that was my Ted Talk… If you don’t agree with what I’m saying and wanna talk with me about it, tell me which parts you don’t agree with and why you don’t agree with them. But if you did read all of this, thank you. I know it’s a lot.
(pt 2.) Now getting to the stans... There are certain people in the stan community that are just flat out toxic. And that goes for every community that I've ever seen. Whether it's mcyt, anime, music artists, or anything else... They all have their flaws within the community. An example of that would be the type of people that will try and force content creators to speak on certain topics that they shouldn’t have to speak on. And when I say that, I don’t mean asking a content creator to say “Gay rights” or from asking them “What’s your opinion on waffles.” Questions like those are harmless things that should be okay to ask them. On the other hand, asking them to be more publicly political or cut off friendships (Just because you don’t like their certain friend), it’s not your place to try and direct. If a content creator doesn’t want to cut off a friend, speak about something, or intervene in a situation, THEN THAT’S THEIR DECISION. And you have no right to tell them otherwise. On the other hand, if a content creator does decide to speak about their political views, does decide to cut off a friendship, or does something that you simply don’t like(As long as it’s not offensive… will touch more on this), you still have no right to give them crap for it. You can disagree with the thoughts of someone and still watch them. But nonetheless, if you stop supporting them and stop watching them, that’s fine too(As long as you do it sciently). What’s not fine is speaking about how their opinions are incorrect just because you don’t agree with them. Something else that I wanna say, informing someone on something that they did wrong (WHEN DONE POLITELY), is okay. But, if you have already seen someone say the exact same thing that you want to say, then don’t say it. You can like the tweet and retweet. But at the point where you and 1,000 other people have already said the same thing, there becomes a point where it’s unnecessary.
