Well, well, well. Another year passed by and we arrive at another solstice. I’m sure no one was wondering where the hell I was, even I’m not sure myself. It has been more than three years since I had the idea for Midnight Fantasy, but I never passed chapter 9. That never sat right with me. But on this day of the summer solstice, I decided to come back to my first work and finish it for good.

Of course, I’ve become more mature, and hopefully a better writer since I started this series. I decided to rewrite (yet again, shocking I know) what I previously published and move on from there. Even though I had to discard many paragraphs that I wrote 3 years ago, I assure you, my original idea and spirit never left the work. It will follow the plot I originally mustered. So, bear with me, as I slowly finish this series once and for all. It may take a year, but a year will pass with or without me writing this novel, isn’t that right? Also, fair warning that this is a work of fiction, an alternate universe if you will, and is not reflection of real life.

I don’t want to keep making promises I can’t follow through, but I will tell you this. Tune in every weekend for a new chapter of Midnight Fantasy.

And for some reason, if you want to beta read, my inbox is always available.

Sincerely, the writer at The Tortured Poets Department.

Happiest one-year anniversary to Midnight Fantasy!

To celebrate this marvelous occasion, I just opened a twitter account to answer some questions. Hopefully. I’ll answer any questions regarding the novel until the 22nd of December. Just tag me @mirroringdawn with your questions.

If I don’t get questions, oh well, it would just be L for me.

I hope to see snow on the beach on winter solstice.

          xoxo, tee

Dear readers.

I am back after ghosting you all for 8 months. Though this time frame had its ups and downs, I had the time to update the chapters. So why didn’t I do it? Honestly, I don’t fully know the answer to this question myself. But, I’ll try to be fully transparent today.

Just like Midnight Fantasy’s character Frank, I’m someone who is a perfectionist. Because of that trait, I struggle with deadlines, and am never satisfied with the work I put out. I am just so mad that I lost so much time without even acknowledging.

Another reason is that I could never leave Midnight Fantasy without justice. If someone ever asked me, “What’s your masterpiece? What’s your Starry Night?” in the future, I think I’ll answer it with “Midnight Fantasy.” There is a reason I couldn’t abandon this piece. I’ve been mustering the plots for two years now. I love every single part of Midnight Fantasy, written or not, and how it’s a direct reflection of me. I could never half-ass something so important to me.

But, that doesn’t mean I’ll put up 3 year hiatus now. I’ve decided to upload my work as fast as I can. The quality may differ between chapters, but I’m just going to treat it as some sort of draft. Hopefully, you folks will too. (Also, feel free to comment, chat me with your ideas and criticism)

I know fully that I have trouble fulfilling my promises, so I will not be making one. However, I’ll be inviting you all to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Midnight Fantasy on 2 days before Winter Solstice.

          December 20th. Midnight Sharp.

Heya readers. It’s Tenkou here. Though I don’t have a crowd that cares about my story yet, I’m here to make an announcement. After three long months of hiatus, I’ve come back to Midnight Fantasy. Not only that, I want to rewrite the first nine chapters to make it more sense logically. Hang in there with me, as I’ll try to update more frequently, perhaps weekly.

I must say that I’ve grown to love all the actors that appear in my fiction world, and hopefully you will too.
